Affiliates statistics - sales and income
Our own statistics tell us the following about a website that makes an effort to advertise in a targeted fashion for its membership area:
One membership is established out of a thousand visitors per day.
Nearly all new members start with a membership for a week.
Only 10% of new members cancel their memberships.
Only 40% of second time members cancel their renewed memberships.
Only 30% of full members cancel their memberships.
A site with 10,000 hits a day would, according to our figures, produce 300 members a month.
Let’s look at what this site would earn during the first three months:
1. month
First time members: 300 * 50% * $6.99 = $1.048,50
Second time members: 300 * 90% * 50% * $30 = $4.050
I alt: $5.098,50
2. month
First time members: 300 * 50% * $6.99 = $1048,50
Second time members: 300 * 90% * 50% * $30 = $4050
Third time members: 300 * 90% * 60% * 50% * $30 = $2430
I alt: $7.528,50
3. month
First time members: 300 * 50% * $6.99 = $1.048,50
Second time members: 300 * 90% * 50% * $30 = $4.050
Third time members: 300 * 90% * 60% * 50% * $30 = $2.430
Fourth time members: 300 * 90% * 60% * 70% * 50% * $30 = $1.701
I alt: $9.229,50
A site with 10,000 hits a day can end up earning more than $9,000 each month after only three months, this income will keep on rising for a long time to come. This is a business most webmasters would be happy to have. It requires a really well worked out and optimised advertising campaign to reach our calculated levels but the effort is amply rewarded by the monthly receipts ;)
